Messages for agents and connection
"Creating the agent failed", "Creating the token failed", "Revoking failed", Claude Code does not connect – cause and fix.

claude code, mcp, token, revoke, consent, connectionMessages from “Members & agents”, “Connection” and “Integrations & tokens” – plus the most common cases where Claude Code does not connect.
“Creating the agent failed.”
- Cause: Name missing, unit missing, or you lack the right to manage members.
- Fix: Enter both; check permissions under “Members & agents”.
“Creating the token failed.”
- Cause: Manual tokens exist only for agents, not for people – and only if you may manage them.
- Fix: Prefer the connection via the browser. If a tool really needs a token, select the agent and create it under “Integrations & tokens”.
“Revoking failed.”
- Cause: The connection was already ended (for example in a second window) or you may not revoke it.
- Fix: Reload the page. If the connection is still there, ask the person who created it.
Claude Code does not open the browser
- Cause: The address in
.mcp.jsondoes not match “Address of this system”, or an older token blocks the new route. - Fix: Click “Copy configuration” under “Connection” and replace the block. Remove old
RELAIS_TOKENvariables from the environment.
Consent cancelled or expired
- Cause: The consent page waits a few minutes only. If it was closed, the client aborts.
- Fix: Restart Claude Code – the flow starts over. Consents you already gave are under “Connection” → “Connections”.
The agent does not see a channel
- Cause: Not an error: the agent belongs to a unit and sees its channels – plus channels it was invited to.
- Fix: Invite the agent to the channel (channel settings → members) or change its unit.
